Ovenbrite Services
Why should I use Ovenbrite over your competitors?
We believe that Ovenbrite offer the best oven cleaning service in the business because we excel in the following areas:

Click on the red links to find out more.

What appliances do you clean?
What areas do you cover?
We serve consumers and businesses within 40 miles of central Manchester. See our detailed map and specific location names of the areas we serve.
Do you carry spares?
We do carry spares for more common appliances but don’t carry an extensive range due to the sheer number of oven, extractor, microwave and hob models. However, we can get any spares that you require prior to attending an appointment.

If you know that you need replacements for bulbs, filters etc, it’s best to advise us of this when you book your appointment. We can then give you a fixed price and have the parts ready to be fitted when we clean the oven.

Do you carry out oven repairs?
Ovenbrite can carry out minor repairs and maintenance to appliances if done at the same time as cleaning. This includes replacement of bulbs, filters and seals. Please advise us at the time of booking if you need any minor repairs or maintenance and we can provide you with a fixed price for the work including the cost of any parts.

Whilst we don’t carry out more extensive repairs, we have trustworthy, experienced partners who we work closely with if you need more extensive repairs. We’d be more than happy to get them to contact you if you require this type of service.

The cleaning process
Cleaning v Valeting. What's the difference?
Ovenbrite offer a premium oven valet service. What’s the difference? Cleaning involves only cleaning the external surfaces of the oven. In a valet, the component parts of the oven/hob are removed and cleaned independently of the oven. This usually means splitting the door (so that both the internal and external glass can be cleaned) as well as removing side panels and the fan so that they can be cleaned individually.

You can see the extent of the components that are cleaned in our ‘oven cleaning process’ gallery.

Are the products you use to clean my oven safe for People and Animals?
We only use non toxic, non caustic and biodegradable detergents. There is also no nasty residue or smell that some detergents can leave behind. Whilst they are safe for you and your pets, they are also safe for the environment. You can use your oven safely, immediately after a clean.
Do you clean the inner glass of the doors?
As part of our oven valet service we split the door. This enables us to clean both the internal and external glass.

You can see the difference it makes by looking at our ‘before and after’ gallery.

Will there be any fumes or smell?
We only use non toxic, non caustic and biodegradable detergents. There is also no nasty residue or smell that some detergents can leave behind. They are safe for you, your pets and the environment. You can use your oven safely, immediately after a clean.
When can I use my oven after it has been cleaned?
Because we only use non toxic, non caustic and biodegradable detergents you can use your oven safely, immediately after a clean.
How long does it take to clean an oven?
To some extent, it depends on the size and number of appliances, in particular the number of ovens to be cleaned. A typical single oven valet takes 2-3 hours whereas a 3 oven Aga may take the best part of a day.

If timing is an important issue to you, please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll be able to advise you how long it will take once we’ve ascertained the work requirements.

What about the component parts like the fan? Are they cleaned too?
In an Ovenbrite valet, all of the component parts of the oven/hob are removed and cleaned independently of the oven. This usually means splitting the door (so that both the internal and external glass can be cleaned) as well as removing side panels and the fan so that they can be cleaned individually.

You can see the extent of the components that are cleaned in our ‘oven cleaning process’ gallery.. You can also see our ‘before and after’ photos.

But I've got a self cleaning oven. Why do I need it valeting?
A ‘self-cleaning’ oven relies on the fact that the enamel lining on the inside of the oven is of such a high standard that when you heat the oven sufficiently, the debris will just fall off.

Unfortunately, for this to work effectively manufacturers recommend the cycle should be run every week. It requires 3-4 hours of heat and consequently results in high electricity cost, inconvenience and lack or availability for using the oven to cook in.

The ‘self-cleaning’ parts are only the enamel based parts. Parts such as the door glass, shelves, fan and behind panels etc still require regular cleaning to prevent food contamination.

Miscellaneous
Will there be any disruption?
We’d be lying if we said there was no disruption. However, we keep it to an absolute minimum. We need access to our van where the component cleaning takes place which means occasionally leaving and entering the premises.

At the start of the job we protect the local area by placing down dust sheets and a waterproof membrane followed by newspapers. We dispose of the sheets along with the debris collected in them on completion, leaving the local area in exactly the same condition as when we arrived… maybe even cleaner!!

You work hard to buy your home, furniture and contents. We are respectful of this when we enter and work in your property. We treat your home and contents as we would like ours to be treated… with respect. We’re careful to protect any local furniture, electrical goods and carpets. If we do make any mess, we clean it up afterwards.

But can't I do it myself?
Of course you can!! However, most people choose to let the professionals do it for the following reasons:

  • It’s a dirty, smelly job. Often gets put off!
  • It’s physical, hard work!
  • Expertise, specialist equipment & tools required.
  • Speed. We take 2-3 hours. A full day for you.
  • Detergents can contain hazardous substances.
  • Some detergents perform poorly.
  • Others leave a residue or smell

You can find out the reality about cleaning your oven and why you’d be better using Ovenbrite’s professional oven cleaning services.

How often should I have my oven valeted?
It really depends on how often it is used. What you cook in it also has an impact. If you’re regularly cooking fatty meats then it will need to be cleaned more frequently. Many of our customers are repeat customers and they tend to have their ovens cleaned annually, but it’s totally up to you!!
How do I prepare my Aga?
In for us order to clean an Aga, it must be cold. We therefore ask you to leave it off overnight prior to a clean.
Are you insured in case of a mishap?
No business expects to have mishaps. We work with liquids, heat and electricity in a dirty local environment, so the potential is there. Not all oven cleaners have public liability insurance. So if the worst happens, you’re on your own. We carry £5 million public liability insurance just in case. See a copy of our insurance documentation.
